Project briefTHE THESIS

Where AI could fit into game development.

In March 2023, I wrote about where AI might fit into game development. I looked at language models for dialogue, generated characters and environments, NeRF-based scene capture, animation, adaptive music, and assistants inside game editors.

The essay was an exploration of possible tools, not a report of a shipped platform. The question I keep coming back to is how a developer could revise a generated asset and carry it into the rest of a game without losing control of the result. My later browser experiments have given me more ways to test those ideas.
